Q: If your attire could tell a story, what would it be?

My attire would narrate my personal story. When I first immigrated to Canada, layering sweaters and shirts became a necessity to handle the cold—a habit that has stayed with me to this day. I still gravitate toward baggy sweaters and puffy jackets, reflecting both practicality and my enduring sensitivity to the cold. Also, as a Muslim, modesty shapes both my character and my fashion choices, which is why layering remains central to my style. Streetwear captures my youthful energy, while a striped "grandpa" sweater symbolizes my efforts to transition into a professional career.

Q: Three words that encapsulate your style:

Meek, timeless, genuine.

Q: Fashion can be both a canvas for self-expression and a tool to make an

impression. How do you balance both when choosing what to wear?

I believe that self-expression and impression should go hand in hand. If you want to give off the impression of your true authentic self through fashion, then self-expression is precisely the means of doing so. I am currently in a stage where I value presenting my true authentic self, whether through physical appearance or character. That said, as I transition into a career of serving the public, I ponder on the signifcance of self-expression in a feld that is not intended to be oriented around oneself. In such a case, I sense the balance will tip closer to impressions over self-expression.
