Artist statement:

I had the urge to sketch fluffy hair, highlighting its lightness and comfort by having it frame a bashful face. The outer borders of her hair are not fully defined, and I did this on purpose; I think it has the effect of focusing the viewer on her expression, and also lends to the "fluffiness" of her hair! I never took art lessons so this is all by instinct, but I hope to enrol in a drawing class soon.
