Painting has been a hobby of mine for years now, but I had been strug- gling to prioritize it since starting medical school. I decided to take a Contemporary Impressionism night class at the Toronto School of Art to revitalize my passion for it. It was very rewarding to finally learn my favourite style of painting, which I’d had no idea how to approach before. I completed these two land- scape pieces using the techniques I learnt in the class. They are scenes from my travels, rendered from photographs in acrylic on canvas.
It was really wonderful to be able to explore experiences I had shared with friends and loved ones in a whole new way.
