Artist's Statement: In these photographs, the focus is the water and wildlife — two key themes that defined a recent trip to southern California. Although these pictures are motionless, I hope you can appreciate the sights and sounds of the crashing waves, the seagulls in the sky, and the faint sounds of conversation between us as humans — observing it all.
